The Harbor Beach site, owned by Dow AgroSciences LLC, a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, is the manufacturing facility for spinosad and spinetoram, active ingredients in several insecticides.

Spinosad and spinetoram are naturally derived substances created through a fermentation process. After being produced at Harbor Beach, spinosad is sent to formulation sites in the United States and South America, while spinetoram is sent to formulation sites in the United States and Indonesia.

Spinosad is the active ingredient in a variety of products. TRACER^® NATURALYTE^® Insect Control provides economical, effective control of major worm pests in cotton and tobacco, while leaving beneficial insects unharmed. SUCCESS^® NATURALYTE^® Insect Control and SPINTOR^® NATURALYTE^® Insect Control provide insect control in a number of crops, including almonds, fruiting vegetables, leafy vegetables, cole crops, sweet corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, citrus, tomatoes and apples CONSERVE^® SC Specialty Insecticide offers numerous benefits to lawn care and landscape professionals by targeting pests such as thrips, leaf miners and Eastern tent caterpillars.

Spinetoram is the active ingredient in the following products: DELEGATE™ WG insecticide, which controls pests such as codling moth, oriental fruit moth, peach twig borer and pear psylla in tree fruit and nut crops. RADIANT™ SC, EXALT™ SC insecticides and ENDURE™ SC insecticides are targeted for use in many different vegetable crops to control insect pests, including those classified under the lepidoptera species, leaf miners and thrips.
